Frequently asked questions

Personal tutor sessions are conversations with your always-available language tutor, with pronunciation scoring and grammar feedback anytime. Native matching pairs you with real people who speak your target language fluently for authentic conversation practice.

No. Your tutor is an AI and can make mistakes, so treat its corrections as a strong hint rather than the last word. For conversations with real people, use native partner matching or messages.

Open Practice and choose Speaking practice, or tap the call button in a chat with your tutor. Pick a language and how long you want to talk. Your tutor listens and answers out loud, and live captions let you read along and translate any line. When the session ends, you get a scorecard for pronunciation, grammar, vocabulary, and fluency, plus a transcript. Speaking sessions use credits, and the cost is shown before you start.

Every speaking session ends with a scorecard: pronunciation, grammar, vocabulary, fluency, and an overall score, plus a full transcript and the words worth saving. The session then appears in your messages on Practice, next to your tutor chats, with its language, duration, date, and score. Tap it to open the summary again.

Yes. Open a note in your Study notebook and tap the voice button in the tutor strip below it. The session starts with that note as its topic, so the tutor quizzes you on it, corrects you, or builds on what you wrote.
